The Pop Star Portrays a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Mockumentary First Look

The Grammy-winning artist is preparing for a significant big screen appearance in 2026, starting with the mockumentary titled The Moment.

Throughout the movie, she portrays what she refers to as a twisted version of herself.

It’s the truest representation of the music industry that I’ve ever seen, Charli stated.

She further explained in a discussion: It’s far from a live performance documentary, yet the concept stemmed from the pressure to make one.

A Sneak Peek into The Project

The first teaser, released on Thursday, mixes real clips from her recent tour with imagined off-stage interactions.

The mockumentary is helmed and co-scripted by the director, who revealed that the narrative centers on a reality where the artist made entirely different choices during the promotion of her chart-topping release Brat.

She recently joined to star in the actress’s first film as director A Tree in Blue.

Musical Contributions

February will also include the release of the filmmaker’s interpretation of Wuthering Heights, which will include original songs from Charli.

She is also set to provide music for the story Mother Mary, with Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, planned for launch in the coming year.

The film is scheduled to debut on the 30th of January.
